"Those left to cherish her memory include her son Harry Brooks and his wife Melissa of Indian Creek, her three grand daughters Amber Brooks, Autumn Brooks, and Ashley Brooks all of Indian Creek and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

"Services will be held Saturday February 17, 2017 at Noon in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service in Pineville with Pastor Scott Cline, and Pastor Michael Brooks officiating. Burial will follow, in Roselawn Memorial Park in Princeton...."

"In addition to she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Ellison, and her sister, Kathy Ellison Blankenship.

"Those left to cherish her memory include her brother Tim Ellison and his wife Sherri Morgan-Ellison. Her beloved nephew Tommy Blankenship and his wife Kim and her only great niece Emma. Her neighbor and close friend Jean Norman.

"In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date."

She was the first president of the Oceana Library Board, as well as the first president of the Oceana High School Hall of Fame. She was a member of the organizing committee of the Oceana High School Alumni Association. She served as Secretary of Oceana United Methodist Church and was a former member of Wyoming County Humane Society.

"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Clark, her son, Barry Clark and her brothers, Virgil Fisher Jr. and Bob Fisher.

"Sam Clark, 87, of Oceana entered Heaven’s gates Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Bower’s Hospice House following an extended illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.

"Born August 18, 1931, he was the son of late C.C. and Rhoda Webb Clark.

"Sam attended Oceana High School and Concord College, where he won many awards and citations for his basketball skills. He proudly served in the US Army. In 1955, Mr. Clark lead Europe in the scoring divisional level basketball competition.

"He was a past member and President of Oceana Rotary Club. He was a former member of Oceana Area Chamber of Commerce and a longtime sponsor of Oceana Little League. He considered being chosen as a founding member of Oceana Hall of Fame a great honor, as he dearly loved the Town of Oceana.

"Mr. Clark was a former teacher and basketball coach at Glen Rogers High School from 1958 to 1961. He taught at Oceana High School from 1961 to 1962.

"Sam was privileged, in 1962, to be hired as an agent for State Farm Insurance. He held this position until his retirement in 2012. He was honored and humbled to have served the people of Oceana and surrounding areas for fifty years. Retiring at age 80, he loved and respected each one of his clients. Being a true entrepreneur and businessman, Mr. Clark leaves a giant legacy of honesty and integrity to the Oceana area.

"Sam was a founder and first President of Oceana National Bank, now First Community Bank. He served fourteen years as Chairman of the Board for Castle Rock Bank, Pineville, WV. He was a former board member of First Community, Princeton, WV and FCFT Holding Co. (parent company of First Community Bank). He was the owner of the former Country Junction Co, Inc, Real Estate.

"Sam was a member of Oceana United Methodist Church, where he served as a former trustee.

"In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his son, Barry, sister, Sharon Blackburn and brothers-in-law, Arnold Brown, Otis Bailey and Denzil Blackburn.

"He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Suzanne Fisher Clark. Daughter, Rebecca Blankenship and husband, David of Oceana. Grandchildren, Shannon Lynch and husband, Roy of Daniels, Sean Miller of Charlottesville, VA, Shane Miller and wife, Krista of Oceana. "He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Billie Jean Lafferty; his stepfather and father by heart, Raymond Bailey; three daughters, Eva Marie Webb and her husband, Timmy, of Glen Rogers, Beverly Sue Brooks and her husband, Randall, of Glen Rogers and Rachel Ann Tolliver and her husband, Willis, of Glen Rogers; two brothers, Willis Lafferty and his wife, Darlene, of Glen Rogers and James Lafferty and his wife, Maxine, of Glen Rogers; a sister, Edna Jean Bailey and her husband, Ivan, of Glen Rogers; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Lafferty of Beechwood; a brother-in-law, Kelley Bailey of Glen Rogers; grandsons, Matthew Randall Brooks (a son in heart), Christopher Shawn Tolliver and Jeremy Willis Tolliver; great-grandson, Justin Shane Hash; and an unborn great-grandchild. "He is also survived by a son at heart, Mark Lafferty, 19 nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. "JUMPING BRANCH — Ray Derwood Sizemore Sr., 63, of Jumping Branch, formerly of Bud, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at his residence. "Born March 24, 1944, at Welch, he was the son of the Margaret Sizemore Mitchem of Clearfork. "Ray was a former machinist, had been a resident of Jumping Branch for the past five years and was a U.S. Navy veteran. "In his leisure, Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. "He was preceded in death by a half brother, Johnny Mitchem, and an uncle, Emmitt Calvin Sizemore. "Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Ray D. Sizemore Jr. of Indian Mills, Elivian Sizemore of Stephenson and Rebecca McKendree of Indian Mills; four half sisters, Edith Gilley and her husband, Ernest, of Clearfork, Genalea Raye of Pineville, Nancy Lester and her husband, Lee, of Pineville and Sue Clay and her husband, Steve, of Pineville; three half brothers, Luther Mitchem Jr. and his wife, Meradith, of Lexington, Ky., Wayne Mitchem of Pineville and Randy Mitchem and his wife, Joni, of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
