She was of the Holiness faith and attended the Family Worship Center. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. "Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Clark Pennington and her second husband, Walter Ira Daugherty; two children, one grandson, four brothers, and one sister. "Survived by two daughters: Cloye and husband: Sam Stevenson of Jolo, Betty Jean Mullins of Catawba, N.C.; one son: Charles and wife: Judy Pennington of Warsaw, Ind.; three sisters: Elsie and husband: James Goodman of English, Mary Cheeks of Bluefield, Ellen Sizemore of Ringo, Ga. Also, survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. "Funeral Services for Ethel Mae Sizemore Daugherty will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Family Worship Center, Jolo with Minister Charles Rose officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Va..."

She was a former nurses aide, where she did private duty nursing, and was a homemaker. She was a resident of Gilliam for over 40 years, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. "Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Winters; three sisters, Ellen Sizemore, Viney Wilson, and Duffie Lancaster; six brothers, Lee Sizemore, Kelly Sizemore, Bill Sizemore, James Sizemore, Perry Sizemore, and Allen Sizemore. "Survivors include: Several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; her church family and a host of friends. "Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, with President Edward P.
