Day was a Pentecostal minister with 62 years of service for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Alexis Hamlin of Florida, Gayle and Don Linkous of Newport, Va., Aimee and Rev. John Canning of Tazewell, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Paul D. and Deborah Day of Blacksburg.; 10 grandchildren, Todd Linkous, Denise Linkenhoker, Stephen Linkous, Jared Hamlin, Paula, Jeremy and Shannon Day, Ashlea, Jayson, and Taylor Canning; eight great-grandchildren. "Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2006, at 1 p.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church in Blacksburg. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va..."
