"Born May 2, 1913 at Herndon, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Sheridan White and Alice Stevens White. "Mrs. Lusk was a member of the First Church of God in Matoaka where she played the piano until she was 92 years old. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, embroidering and flower gardening. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernie L. Lusk in 1996; two infant sons, Buford Lusk and Bruce Lusk; one brother, Troy White; and two sisters, Virginia Stevens and Cora Lusk. "Survivors include two daughters, Alice Fletcher and her husband, Norman, and their son, Nicklaus, with whom she made her home, and Drema Leedy and her husband Tom of Forest, Va.; three sons, Siebert Lusk and his wife Patricia of Madison, Ala., Lacy Lusk and his wife Wilma of Richmond, Va., and Tracy Lusk and his wife Kathleen of Bluefield; one brother, George White of Pinoak; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and caretaker, Aleta Cecil of Pinoak.
