"Born Sept. 18, 1953, in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elsie Green Vance. "Hazel worked as a receptionist for Family Health Care in Oceana for 14 years. She was a member of Oceana First Church of God and was a dedicated servant for 14 years, serving as Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and a member of the choir. "She was a wonderfully devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. "Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 34 years, Michael Estep of Kopperston; a son, David Michael Estep of Manassas, Va.; a daughter, Jennifer Estep Brooks and her husband, Mark, of Jesse; a brother, Jerry Vance and his wife, Peggy, of Scott Depot; two grandchildren, Mark Colton Brooks and Presley Madison Brooks of Jesse; two nephews, John Vance and his wife, Merideth, and her son, Hunter, and Jeff Vance and his wife, Kim, and daughter, Destinee; and a host of friends.
