"NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Lucille Hagerman Muncy, age 79, of North Tazewell, Va., formerly of War, W.Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 following a long illness. She had been residing at the home of her grandson, Robert C. and wife, Melissa A. Rose Shelton and children, Sara, Ashley, and Alexis, also residing in the home was her daughter, Angela. Born Aug. 29, 1931 at War, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late John and Bethel Hagerman. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Muncy was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the True Light Church of God in Jesus Name at Shop Hollow in Warriormine, W.Va. The love and comfort shown her by Melissa Rose Shelton as she cared made her last days easier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carl Muncy; one daughter, Diana Muncy; and one son, Larry Muncy; loving granddaughter, Marcia Lynn Muncy Hale; two brothers, Bill Hagerman and Earl Hagerman; two sisters, Pinkie Tunnell and Roise Belcher; special son-in-law, Roger Dale Shelton."Survivors include one son, Allen C. Muncy and wife, Jenny of Caretta, W.Va.; two daughters, Deborah Hicks and husband, Jerry of Cucumber, W.Va., and Angela Shelton of Tazewell, Va.; special nephew, David Christian and wife, Vickie of War, W.Va.; two sisters, Betty Christian, and Georgia Hughes, both of War, W.Va.; loving extended family, Betty Joe Muncy Fowler and husband Charles of Squire, W.Va., Sylvia Sue Muncy and companion, Ken Stowers of Claremont, N.C.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild.

Her home was always opened to everybody; she never knew a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest E. “Barber” Lusk; three sons, Kenneth Lusk, Robert E. Lusk, and Edward E. Lusk; four brothers, Zeke Lusk, Leonard Lusk, John Lusk and Lawerence Lusk; one sister, Lera Gladwell; two grandchildren, John William Lusk and Laura Lusk.
