"PRINCETON — C.D. Lockhart, 69, of Quail Valley Estates, Princeton, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born October 5, 1938 in Iaeger, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clyde and Hazel Lockhart King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gerri Sue Miller Rotenberry, and his stepfather, Henry S. King.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Addie Sue Lambert Lockhart; his sister, Patti Rae Fuller and husband Roger of Cedar Bluff, Va.; brother in law, Robert Rotenberry of Princeton; sister in law, Norma Sutphin and husband Woodrow of Princeton; stepbrother, Ronnie King and wife Jackie of Marion, Ohio; nieces, Crystal and Pete Richardson of Pounding Mill, Va., Heather and Andy Scipio of Dunbar, Clara and Rusty Fife of Bluefield, Va.; nephews, Jody and Sarah Jo Fuller of Richlands, Va., and Bryan and Lisha Miller of Bluefield, Va.; great-nieces and nephews, Lisa and Brian McCaskill of Camden, S.C., Carson and Collin Richardson, Nicholas and Emma Miller, Cody, Caden and Caleb Fuller, and Jacob Matthew and Emily Scipio; great-great nieces, Gracie and Clara Ann McCaskill; special caregivers, Betty Snider, Lisa Worley and Melissa Bell; special physicians, Dr. Patel and Dr. Piracha.

Not only did he spend the spring and summer golfing in West Virginia, his second job took him to Florida during the winter months. His Motto was "Work is for people who can't golf." If he wasn't on the golf course, then C.D. would be found watching his favorite football team, the West Virginia Mountaineers.
C.D. was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton and the Princeton Elks Country Club. He was also past-president of the Iaeger Rotary Club and an Iaeger Volunteer Firefighter.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Thurman Belcher and Kevin Belcher officiating. Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bluewell.Friends may call today (Sunday) from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jimmy Welch, John "Sonny" Goodwin, Clarence "Junior" Robinette, Glen Gayheart, Jim Riffe, Raymond Thornton, and Glen Earl McFarland will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include the Princeton Elks Senior Golfers and his golfing buddies, who traveled with him on his annual golf trips.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sweet Home Baptist Church, 121 Willowbrook Road, Princeton, WV 24740.

"Addie Sue Lockhart, 81, of Quail Valley, Princeton, died peacefully Friday evening, May 26, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. Born on August 6, 1941, in Iaeger, she was the daughter of the late W.A.Lambert and Grace Neal Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 38 years, Clyde (CD) Lockhart, her sister, Norma Sutphin, and sister-in-law Gerri Sue Miller Rotenberry. Sue received a B.S. in Education from Concord College. She began her 29 year teaching career in a one room school house on Long Pole in McDowell County, West Virginia. She went on to teach at Panther Elementary for 10 years, and finished out her teaching career at Iaeger Elementary. She was a member of the Iaeger Junior Women's Club for several years and served a term as president. Sue was a proud member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton. Following her retirement in 1989, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, CD Lockhart, cooking and canning, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include a Niece, who was like a sister, Clara Fife, and husband Rusty of Bluefield, VA. A great- niece, that was like her daughter, Lisa McCaskill, and husband Brian of Camden, SC. Two great- great nieces, that were her "babies" as she called them, Gracie and Clara Ann McCaskill. Sister-in-law, Patti Rae Fuller and husband Roger of Cedar Bluff, VA; Brother-in-law Robert Rotenberry of Princeton; Nieces, Crystal Richardson and husband Pete of Richlands, VA; Andy Scipio and wife Heather of Charleston, WV. Stephen Runyon

"Stephen and his wife lived in that part of Montgomery County which later became Pulaski County. His parents Richard and Hannah (Carden) Runyon conveyed by deed their farm of 283 acres on the west side of New River to Stephen on May 10, 1837. Stephen and his wife also lived in Giles County, Virginia, and owned 95 acres of land on Cave Branch, which was twenty-two miles southwest of the county courthouse in Pearisburg, Virginia. The 1850 U.S. Census of Giles County lists Stephen Runyon, his wife Nancy, and children. Stephen was fifty-one years of age, and Nancy was forty-nine.
