Surviving: husband, Homer Bailey Jr.; sons, Pete of Pine Creek, Ethan, Timothy and Gary of Omar; daughters, Trisha Spurlock of Omar, Pam Bailey of Rosemore; brothers, Floyd Swanner of Omar, Jeff Swanner of Switzer; sisters, Virginia Vance, Sharon McCleese and Debra Dillon of Omar; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Micco Jesus Church with the Rev. Ray Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Chauncey Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to9 p.m. today at the church. Collin s-Slater Funeral Home, Switzer, is in charge of arrangements."

Born July 30, 1957, at Logan, he was a son of the late Homer Jr. and Mary Swanner Bailey. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Sue Bailey; two brothers, Rickey and Ethan Bailey, and grandparents, Issac Homer Bailey, Janie Queen, and Floyd and Annie Swanner. Pete was a disabled coal miner, formerly employed with Arch Coal Company, a member of the UMWA and of the Jesus Only Faith.
