He loved to play his guitar, especially in his church and with friends, and was an avid fan of bluegrass music. He and his wife, Versie, spent many hours traveling to bluegrass concerts and festivals. Mr. Brown was also an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Alta Rollins Brown; an infant sister, Evelyn Rose; a sister, Edith Katherine Paugh; a brother, Dewey Dean Brown; a half brother, Cletis Fred Cook; and a stepson, Steven C.
