sometime in the early 1920's. He married my grandmother (Della Blackburn). They had four children;
Johnny Hicks, Ansel (Ed) Hicks, Elva Hicks, and Bertha Hicks. All of them lived in Marytown and Davy
during the early 40's. Mack and his two sons worked in the mines. My father, Ed Hicks, never talked
about his family and from what i have found so far, Macks father's name was John Hicks. He was
married to a Elizabeth and later divorced her and married a Jane ?????. If you have any information
concerning any of my ancestors, i would appreciate it very much"
