Ross; and granddaughter, Kelli Evonne Ross. "He was employed by the West Virginia Division of Highways and retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education. "Survivors include his wife, Rayola Toler Trent; three daughters, Roberta Farmer and husband, Donald, of Hurricane, Rexanna Shumaker and husband, Charles, of Milton and Yvonne Trent of Murphy, N.C.; three sons, Kenneth Trent and wife, Marie, of Flippin, Ariz., Bennie Trent and wife, Sandy, of Yellsville, Ariz., and Clinton Trent and wife, Colleen, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; four grandchildren, Craig Farmer and his wife, Leticia, of San Antonio, Texas, Chris King and his wife, Jennifer, of Murphy, Kevin Farmer of Durham, N.C., and Megan King of Atlanta, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jared Farmer of San Antonio and Andrew King of Murphy. "A lifelong resident of Clear Fork, mother resided at Broadmore Assisted Living in Teays Valley for the last four and a half years.
"Mother graduated from Oceana High School in 1937, in a class of 17. She was the last surviving member of her class. She worked as the election commissioner for about thirty years.
"She was an excellent seamstress, quilter and avid gardener. She loved flowers and working outside, helping our father in the garden. She was proud of her six children, often stating that raising them was the happiest time of her life.
"She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Danny Ross; granddaughter, Kelly Evonne Ross; three brothers, Lonnie, Randall and Harold Toler; and sisters, Mildred Blankenship and Nola Toler.
"She is survived by her six children: Roberta Farmer and husband, Donald of Teays Valley, Clinton Trent and wife, Colleen of Crystal Lake, Il, Bennie Trent and wife, Sandy of Yellsville, AR, Kenneth Trent and wife, Marie of Flippin, AR, Yvonne Trent pf Murphy, NC, Rexanna Shumaker and husband, Charley of Milton; grandchildren: Kevin Farmer and wife, Kate of Clemmons, NC, Craig Farmer and wife, Letisha of Leesburg, VA, Christopher King and wife, Jennifer of Murphy, NC, Megan Klonga and husband, John of Canton, GA; great-grandchildren, Jared and Isabella Farmer of Leesburg, VA, Andrew and Allison King of Murphy, NC; and one sister, Marian Toler of Clear Fork.

"Born April 14, 1920, at Simon, he was the son of the late Allen and Dolly Goodman Blankenship. "He was preceded in death by a son, Leman Blankenship; a son-in-law, Marvin Bradford Sr.; five bothers, Bert Blankenship, Wirt Blankenship, Vernie Blankenship, Bernie Blankenship and Orie Blankenship; a sister, Cora Blankenship and a half brother and sister, Eli Blankenship and Roda Blankenship. "Mr. Blankenship was a retired coal miner having worked for Island Creek Coal Company. He was of the Baptist faith. "He was a U.S. World War II Army veteran. Levi was proud when he entered into service on June 23, 1942 to serve his country, while serving his country he was stationed at Normandy, Northern France Rhineland and Central Europe. During his faithful service he received a Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and four Bronze Star Medals. Levi served a total of three years, eight months and 10 days and was honorable discharged on Oct. 24, 1945 as a Private First Class.
