"Mr. Whitt was a member of Rock Castle Baptist Church and a former member of Saulsville Baptist Church. He was a member of the NRA and was a former superintendent of Sunday school at Saulsville Baptist Church. Loyd was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, ginseng hunting and being with his family and friends.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, David Whitt; an infant daughter, Laura Whitt; a great-grandson, Luke Clay; one great-great-grandson, Zachary Clay; a brother, Charles Whitt; and two sisters, Macel Darlington and Melda Martin.
