She was a homemaker and was the former owner of Bailey's Grocery at Cub Creek. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burel Dow Bailey; one son, Clinton Bailey; two brothers, George Washington Roberts and Halsey Roberts; four sisters, Octavia Duty, Virgie Duty, Alice Vance and Gladys Edwards. "Survivors include one daughter, Dinah Matney and husband, Thomas of Glenwood; four grandchildren, Tonya Nunn and husband, Shawn of Bluefield, Chandra Dyson and husband, Willie of Bluewell, Ginger Matney of Fort Mills, S.C., and Christopher Matney of Princeton; one great-granddaughter, Haley Duncan of Fort Mills; and one brother, Bruce Roberts of Joppa, Md.
