"Mr. Fisher was a retired carpenter, served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and served in U.S. Air Force in Alaska. He was a member of Lacoma Baptist Church and will be dearly missed. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Fisher; and a brother, V.A. Fisher Jr. "Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Susan Clark and her husband, Sam, of Oceana; nieces and nephews, Becky Blankenship and her husband, Dave, of Oceana, Barry Clark of Oceana, Martha Fisher of Raleigh, N.C., Donna Ann Fisher of Florida and Terry Ann Fisher of Virginia; several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. "A celebration of Mr. Fisher’s life will be 1 p.m. Friday at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel, Oceana, with the Rev. Brent Franco officiating.
