Ida was born June 7, 1921 in Blackey, VA, a daughter of the late Andrew Harvey (Andy) Baker and Cloia Stacy Baker. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ at Jolo. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, working in her flowers, making quilts and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty eight years, Clarence Emory Beavers, five step mothers, Martha Mullins Baker, Priscilla "Siller" Stacy Baker, Nickety "Tye" Shortridge Baker, Pricy Ellen Riffe Baker, and Bertha Edna Allen Addair Baker; two sisters, Matilda Jane "Dollie" Baker Cole Vestal and Martha Baker Rife; four brothers, Andrew Harvey Baker, Fred James Baker, Basil French Baker, and Oliver Baker; and one son-in-law, Vester Washington Vance. "Mike was born January 5,1969 in Welch, WV. He was adopted by his grandparents, the late Albert and Myrtle Vestal, formerly of English. He was a former employee of the Old Saveway store in Jolo for many years and also the Bradshaw Pharmacy in Bradshaw, WV.

"In addition to his grandparents he was also preceded in death by Martha Baker Riffe whom raised him from a small child, a foster brother Mack Authur Riffe, and step father Winfred (Winnie) Keene.
