"Georgia Hatfield, 99, of Coal Mountain, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 12, 1924 in Coal Mountain, WV a daughter of the late Floyd and Rinnie Toler Hatfield. Georgia was a member of the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church, on the board for the Council of Aging and women's bowling league. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Bernie Hatfield, and two sons Curely and Tex Hatfield. Survivors include her children Darrell (Annette) Hatfield of Faber, VA, Vernon Hatfield of Williamsburg, VA, Jerry (Robin) Hatfield of Coal Mountain, Rex (Julia) Hatfield of Coal Mountain, Terry (Sharon) Hatfield of Brenton, Lee (Roberta) Hatfield of Asheboro, NC, and Allen (Edna) Hatfield of Beckley, grandchildren Fran, Eva, Michelle, Chasity, D.J., Jason, Lori, Leslie, J.B., Lori, Elizabeth, Heather, Cindy, Matthew, Adam, Becky, Amanda, Zack, Makayla, Josh, Beth and Ashley, two sisters Merve and Zettie, and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, January 21st at the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church, Coal Mountain, WV with Pastor Glen Hatfield and Bro. Louie Collins officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hatfield Cemetery, Coal Mountain, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to her granddaughter Cindy who took such great care of her. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home."
