"MARY JANE MULLINS PAYNE - Funeral services was conducted Monday, Sept. 28, 1992 for Mary Jane Payne, 92, of Batesburg, SC, formerly of the Jolo area who died early Thursday, Sept. 25, 1992 in the Lexington Medical Center, near Columbia, SC.
Service was held at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger. Burial followed in Tom Sparks Cemetery on Bradshaw Mountain, Paynesville.
Born Sept. 4, 1900 in the Jolo area she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Mullins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, Jolo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Colbert in 1956; two sons, Homer and Charles; one sister Mrs. Alice Hawks and one brother, Paul Mullins.
Survivors include four sons, J.C. of Hollywood, MD, Harold of Greenville, TN, Troy of Batesburg, SC, with whom she made her home and Rufus of Derby, KS; three daughters, Edith King, Kathleen Mullins, both of Bluefield, and Dorothy Duty of Zanesville, OH; four sisters, Becky Asbury of Princeton, Samantha Payne of Bradshaw, Grace Mullins of Paynesville, and Lola Dunnigan of Caretta; 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren."

"Edward Lee Jordan, 55, of Oceana, WV passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 6, 2020 at Ruby
Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on August 17, 1965 in Mingo County, WV a son of the
late Everett Edward and Mary Francis Hatfield Jordan. After spending his childhood in Kopperston, WV,
Eddie moved to North Carolina where he met Kenneth Hensley, his life partner of 21 years. They shared a
home together in Oceana close to Eddie's hometown. The family is being served by the Stafford Family
Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and became an
honorary brother to many who knew him. He will be remembered as a practical joker with a quick wit and
a soft heart. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Anna Ellen
Toler Hatfield and Sidney and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Jordan; a much loved sister-in-law Connie 'Coke'
Craft Jordan; and two nephews David Lee Jordan and Emanuel Lee Jordan. Those left to cherish his
memory are his life partner Kenneth Hensley and their beloved dog Gracie; a sister Anita (Roger)
