"After graduating from Man High School in 1950, Dolores worked at numerous jobs throughout her life. Her active
participation during high school in such clubs and organizations as the FHA, the Girl Scouts and the Band Boosters
helped form the excellent work ethic that she carried throughout her life. Dolores worked at Tridelphia Country Club,
Christian, Meeks Grocery and Thomas Grocery, both at Davin, the Yellow Bird Restaurant, Huff and Puff Restaurant
and Man High Lunch, all in Logan County. Dolores worked at the Rehabilitation School at Institute and at Bright of
America in Summersville. Dolores also held the position of head cook at Man High School and retired after serving
several years as the head cook at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Oak Hill.
"Dolores first accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior at Big Springs Baptist Church at Mallory. She shared the
last 20-plus years of her life with the Christian community of Fairview United Methodist Church at East Kingston,
where she was also a member of the Ladies Aid.
"Dolores was an avid doll collector and was active in the Yesterday's Treasure Doll Club of Oak Hill.
"Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a brother, Bobby Lee Brown Sr., and numerous
relatives in Wyoming County.
"Mrs. Trent is survived by her husband, Joseph Donald Trent, and her daughter, Carolyn Marie Trent, both of Route
1, Scarbro; a brother, James Harrison Brown Jr. and his wife, Pam Matson Brown, of Davin; a sister, Linda Carol
Brown Duba and her husband, Woody Duba, of Route 1, Scarbro; a sister-in-law, Shirley Mavis Blankenship Brown
(wife of the late Bobby Lee Brown Sr.) of Cyclone; a brother-in-law, Jack Trent and his wife, Elizabeth Smith Trent, of
Louisville, Ky.; five nieces and five nephews.
"Friends and relatives may pay respects from 6 to 8 p.m. today at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill.
"Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Arlotte Stover and Jackie Lusk officiating.
