"Edna was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County, a member of Toneda Baptist Church, served as Sunday School Teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie Scout Leader, a member of the Oceana High School Band Boosters and the American Baptist Women of Toneda Baptist Church. She was active in quilting, various forms of handcraft besides being an excellent wife and Mother. She was united in marriage on April 28, 1934 to John Slater Evans of Glen Rogers.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Evans; six brothers, Darrell Lamb, Drexel Lamb, Roby Lamb, Ithel Lamb, the Rev. Orville Lamb, and Woodrow Lamb; two sisters, Violet Lamb and Vera Lester; four half brothers, Burke Lamb, Don Lamb, Homer Gunnoe and Oke Lamb; and two half sisters, Bessie Rose and Clara Kennedy.
