Graham Riffe, 92, of Princeton, formerly of Hanover, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Cassell's Board and Care in Princeton following a long illness.'Born February 19, 1916, in Hanover, he was a son of the late David and Martha Cline Riffe and the last surviving member of his original family. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 62 years, Lottie Clay Riffe; one son, Kenneth Ballard Riffe; six sisters, Bessie Sadie Lee, Malinda Jane "Lindy" Riffe, Louisa Chloe England, Josie Hazel Vance, Sarah Alico Bickel and Willie Ann Burge, and six brothers, Jesse James Riffe, Virgil Smith Riffe, Ora Admiral Riffe, John Riffe, Larkin Woodrow Riffe and Joseph Ballard Riffe.
"Mr. Riffe was a loving husband and father and a devoted Christian. He was a member of the Bethany Regular Baptist Church and an ordained minister since 1966 Mr. Riffe was also a retired coal miner and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II during which he received a Purple Heart. He enjoyed wood crafting, gardening, hunting, and fishing and was a nature lover.
"Survivors include three daughters, Ravenna Riffe (Hank) Murphy of Rutledge, Tenn., Jennifer Christine (Tony) Billings of Tazewell, Va., and Vickie Riffe (Randy) Steele of Logan; two sons, Robert (Mary) Riffe of Bluewell and Dickie (Tammie) Riffe of Avondale; six grandchildren, Sharon, Anthony, David, Melissa, Christopher and Chelsea Riffe, and nine great grandchildren.
"A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Morning Star Regular Baptist Church at Long Pole near Iaeger with Elder Edward L. Cline, Elder E.C. Belcher and Pastor Troy Bartley officiating.

"Rachel was born September 20, 1914, a daughter of
the late Reverend C. M. Perkins and Julia Vandyke
Perkins. She was a loving wife, mother, and
grandmother and was a member of the Bradshaw
Church of God.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband of 67 years, Bougle Day; a daughter,
Lois Jean Pauley; a son-in-law, Billy B. Pauley; a
grand-son-in-law, Chester E. Rowe; three brothers, G.
C. Keen, Bill Perkins, and Wesley Perkins; and ten
sisters, Nancy Horn, Lutishia Horn, Cora Matney,
Elizabeth Mullins, Ethel Keene, Alta Wimmer, Chloe
Brown, Eva Mullins, Malisia Payne, and Myrtle
Summerlin.
"Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Payne and
husband Frank of Ninety-Six, SC, and Yvonne Day of
Jolo, WV; four grandchildren, Ivory Jo Rowe of
Bluefield, WV, Vicki Morgan and husband Gary of
