"Perry Newt Hagerman, 68, of Denton, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the residence of his son, Theodore in Thomasville, NC. Perry was born September 10, 1948, in Welch, WV, a son of the late Roosevelt and Louvicy Vance Hagerman. He was a retired coal miner and a United States Army Veteran. Perry was a member of the Old Samariah Old Regular Baptist Church at Groundhog near Jolo, WV. He loved hunting deer and fox; he also enjoyed running his dogs. In addition to his parents Perry was preceded in death by seven sisters, May Baker, Barbara Hagerman, Hazel Hagerman, Lizzie Payne, Celia Bell Woody, Tennessee Woods and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife Judith Nancy Estep Hagerman of the home; three sons, Perry Hagerman Jr. of Salisbury, NC, Ronnie Daniel Hagerman and wife Kathy of Asheboro, NC, and Theodore Lawrence Hagerman and wife Stephenie of Thomasville, NC; two brothers, Theodore Hagerman and wife Beatrice of Rockridge, WV, and Jimmy Hagerman and wife Mary of Florida; one sister, Clara Ethel Hanshoe of Auburn, IN; ten grandchildren, William Perry Hagerman and Jeffery McDonald both of Salisbury, NC, Josh Hagerman and Briana Hagerman both of Asheboro, NC, T.J.
