She was a homemaker. Baptized in 1960 she is a member of the Followers of Christ House of Prayer at Paynesville. She was the last surviving member of her original family.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Vance, Dec. 18, 1978; three sons, Albert, Hershel, and Vester Vance; one sister, Clary Hagerman Woody; nine brothers, Mose, Shade, Roosevelt, Vester, John R., Ules, Jim, Mitch, and Crockett Hagerman; a daughter-in-law, Rosie Akers Vance; and three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
