"Virginia "Maw" Cook, 79, of Toney Fork, WV, passed away Friday March 14, 2008 following a short illness. She entered into the presence of her Lord surrounded by her family. She was born May 31, 1928 in Mullens, WV the daughter of the late Arthur and Ella Billings of Ostego, WV. "Maw" was a member of the Lillyhaven Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and attending church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Algie Dewey Cook, a grandson James Joseph Cook, three brothers and three sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons Rev. Algie R. Cook and wife Peggy, Dennis Larry Cook and wife Brenda, one daughter Betty Jo Bailey and husband Avary all of Toney Fork, WV; twelve grandchildren: Mark Cook, Naman Cook, Algie (Jo Buck) Cook and wife Kathy all of Toney Fork, WV, Sara (Candy) Short and husband Bobby of Clear Fork, WV, Rev.
