" Bailey, Onnie, 78 of Mullens died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday in a Mullens hospital after a long illness. Born June 3, 1895, at Oceana, he was a son of the late Perry and Eliza Farmer Bailey. He was a retired Mullens automobile dealer starting in 1922, was past president of of Mullens Rotary Club, was a member of Mullens United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mollie Brooks Stone Bailey; one son Onnie Bailey Jr of Staunton, VA.: two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hankins and Mrs. Mora Chambers, both of Oceana, and one granddaughter. Entombment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum at Beckley. The family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. [Beckley Post-Herald (no date other than 1973)]"
