"Born June 7, 1919, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. Bailey and Maggie Holcomb Bailey. "Mrs. Stone was a member of the Glen White Baptist Church. She loved cooking, sewing and making hand-stitched quilts. She was a very caring person and was known for her radiant smile. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Stone; two sons, Albert Stone and Darrell Stone; and a brother, J.C. Bailey. "Survivors include a son, Bob Stone and his wife, Linda, of Saltville, Va.; four brothers, Fred Bailey of Baileysville, Kencil Bailey of Kistler, Bill Bailey of Eccles, and Jimmy Bailey of Wickliffe, Ohio; five sisters, Lettie Walls of Helen, Opal Roberts of Thoms River, N.J., Helen Graham of Mullens, Janice Butner of Spotsylvania, Va., and Freda Billings of Glen White; four grandchildren, Billy Joe Stone of Lester, Michael Stone of Lafayette, La., Dr. Karen Stone Hall of Oakwood, Ga., and Timmy Stone of Inglis, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. "Service will be 7 p.m. today at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. Ken Parent officiating.
